The Enchanted Drawing copyrighted 16 Nov1900 Man at board w/ large sheet of white paper makes time-lapse drawing of man’s head, wine glass and bottle. Cartoonist takes wine glass and bottle which become real, pours himself glass, makes picture of man drink, drawing smiles. Draws top hat, takes top hat which becomes real. Takes cigar out of drawing, drawn man frowns. Cartoon’s face keeps changing expression every time cartoonist takes something out or adds something. cartoonist: J. Stuart Blackton, early pioneer in films and employee of Edison’s, later to become partner in Vitagraph Moving Picture Company, now part of Warner Bros.
