Imperial Airways, London on front w/ Cavalier below windows. Crew up ramp followed by passengers. 06:00:47 MCU SOF Captain: On the way up we passed your American ship, the newest Clipper; and although we not actually within sight of her as she was flying very high & we were flying low to avoid the winds, we were in communication w/ her via wireless telegraphy & passed messages & good wishes to each other on the way.” Airlines; Port Washington; Amphibious; NOTE: Regular service by both airlines began on 18Jun37. The Cavalier was shipped to Bermuda, assembled & started a service to New York on 25May37. It ditched after a loss of power & sank enroute to Bermuda from NYC on 21Jan39 w/ 3 deaths & 10 survivors.
