10:02:10 Title: At the Command Post, 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry. Officer on field telephone at table set up in woods, calls soldier over. Two soldiers on horseback rides thru woods, get off by tree w/ sign & commander walks over to table, salutes & shakes hands; pulls out note pad & pencil.
10:02:59 Title: We attack at dawn tomorrow. My zone of action crosses the river here... CU map with enemy marked; Battalion zone added & pointer pointing. Men look at map on table (brief).
10:03:23 Title: Select sites for two footbridges Men looking. Title: Furnish me sketches of bridge sites & approaches. Man folds notepad, shakes hands.
10:03:41 Title: Reconnaissance for location of foot-bridges. Men riding thru woods, dismount & commander walks, sights - slow pan. Commander runs to edge of gully & surveys area w/ wide slow stream / river below. Both leave on horses.
