Stinger shoulder mounted surface-to-air missile in wooden beam protective area following target in air until ceasefire called. One on field telephone. Instructor talks to trainees, wait for loudspeaker countdown. 03:31:29 Countdown begins; missile launches, congratulations & instructor explains leaving & they leave. 03:32:19 MCU of three, one loads launcher. Countdown called, sound of target fired, trainee tracks. Steps & removes Battery Coolant Unit / BCU canister & throws it outside of protective barrier & waits. Instructor explains ?? 03:34:30 Waits w/ another canister for countdown; inserts canister, presses activator, countdown & target launch w/ tracking attempted. Canister removed; weapon put on resting mount. Trainees waiting, practice turning as though arms holding missile launcher. Talk quietly. 03:38:18 Canisters & surface to air missile picked up & waiting. Canister inserted. 03:39:50 Launcher activated, countdown; target launch & missile fired, smoke & watching. Obviously missed. Cartridge removed. 03:40:50 MLS Launcher on fixed rest on bunker wall. Trainee picks up, instructor moves, other trainee alongside & to rear of launcher. Waiting. 03:42:09 Countdown, target launched, missile fired & launcher lowered. Obvious miss. Launcher sight folded & placed on fixed stand on barrier.
