1903 - Trick Film: Melomaniac, The

The Melomaniac Georges Melies trick film A stage with a music professor as conductor, costumed women musicians, & giant music staff w/ treble clef painted on wall. Frantic conductor jumps & dances; throws his head which becomes musical notes. Women’s pointers or conducting sticks become tails of musical notes. Musicians turn signs with notes spelt out in letters. They then all march off stage hopping as the heads fly off the stave.
