INT church hall - various teenagers prepare mannequins & costumes for nativity scene - some moaning about time spent - “Hey, if we got finished tomorrow maybe we could have a skating party down at the lake!”. 22:30:28 Teenager Sue at home w/ mother - “you’ve no idea how much time that nativity scene is taking”; Mother shows Sue greetings card & reads inscription ‘May the joys of Christmas be with you’ - “Maybe you should send one of these to yourself”. 22:31:41 Teenagers preparing nativity scene outside church; two small kids start asking questions - shooed away: “we’re awful busy”. 22:33:45 Two of the teenagers decorating large Christmas tree - mother admires tree & they discuss perils of Christmas shopping - “the way people push & shove to get up to the counter - they remind me of animals” - “I wonder if they haven’t forgotten the real meaning of Christmas”.
