Two others come up. Tex tries to pick up Carol but she heads home. Talk about parents being problems. 06:31:30 Night, Tex rings doorbell & her mom opens front door to return book. Introduced to her father who take the book, reads a passage & asks Tex to explain it. “This Clancy’s, isn’t that where all the hot rodders congregate?” 06:34:06 At Clancy’s, Tex spots Carol reading. They discuss her parents. She says “Let’s talk about something else.” He tries to take her to youth group Sunday night. She says no. Comes home & greeted by mom, has to study before dinner. Holds up skirt to see length of the hem. She wants to go shopping w/ Carol but Carol wants to go alone. Dad comes down & says he’s going to teach her to sail this weekend. Parents talk about being glad she doesn’t date yet.
