They talk. She dials phone, asks for him--he left two hours before; he arrives but has broken arm from car accident. Working as draftsman, rubbing hand, still sore. 13:12:48 Comes home, was fired. Good optical montage of grocery bills & others. Man sits at desk shaking head, wife into room: “I’ve borrowed on the car, and everything else...” “You’ve got to have faith...” Boy comes down carrying turtle, “I call him Elmer...” asks for money for bus. 13:15:10 Boy continuing prayer. Boy teaching turtle tricks, “he’s not as smart as he looks.” Father gives him money for bus ticket. They send boy off for bed. GIves mother grocery money.
