Mrs. Rogers in bed after hearing gossip, dreaming: remembers in flashback the morning when husband came home. He wakes wife, sits on bed talking about racing for airport, etc. Back to present & woman comes out of closet thinking about the gossips, “maybe there is something to it”, grabs phone & dials. 12:21:19 Mr. Rogers w/ new secretary gives phone number & leaves office. Wife given new number & checks listing; anxiety, anxious. Hurridly packs suitcase and gets into Yellow Cab or taxi for station, stopping at Secretaries house. 12:23:13 Taxi around corner & arrives on residential street, Mrs. Rogers sees their car & goes up steps, rings bell, comes in and confronts them. Greeted by Mr. Merrill & Mr. Rogers. Mr. Merrill defends his wife & Mr. Rogers actions, Mr. Merrill gives religious speech as taxi driver honks. She decides to stay w/ husband. 12:26:06 Mrs. Merrill arrives & they all agree he’ll be a good minister. Mrs. Merrill talks about avoiding gossip w gift of love of God, etc. The End.
