Titles. 17:17:10 INT junior high school classroom - teacher reminds grumpy pupil Larry it’s his turn to clean blackboard / chalkboard at recess. Larry very rude & pulls a face in protest - “honest you better get somebody else, some girl” - class dismissed. 17:17:55 Larry to blackboard, begins erasing & then draws a stick figure on chalkboard which comes alive. “Hi Larry, my name is Chalky!” - animated stick figure tells him he’s there to give advice about his manners. Larry crossly tries to wipe him off board - ‘Chalky’ hides at top - “my heavens, you are a bad-mannered young man, aren’t you” “I dare you to come down here and say that”. Chalky gives examples of Larry being rude to people - interrupting baseball game - being late for class. “What do you want me to do, curtsey when I come to school?” 17:20:43 Larry being late for class. CU teacher frustrated. Cutaway to Larry in class not paying attention to teacher & throwing paper airplane - making fun of girl’s picture & upsetting her - showing disrespect to teacher by answering with “yeah?” 17:24:08 Larry starts to see the problem. Chalky makes animated list of rules for manners in school - lets Larry erase him once they are finished w/ list. 17:27:42 Teacher back after recess, praises Larry for doing good job cleaning chalk board - Larry thanks her politely but looks slightly demonic as she turns away.
