CU bolting sections together; men rest & others carry sections while wearing leather back braces; move section on rollers as instructors watch & guide alignment. More sections carried into place; CU sections lifted, attached & pounding pins w/ sledge hammer. 16:37:50 Tension braces parallel to ground placed & attached. Girders rolled into place & attached. LS of multiple sections assembled on ground. 16:40:35 Bridge seen from below concrete approach; sections moved onto rollers. Slowly moved over “stream”. 16:44:42 Overhead of men carrying steel sections & sliding forward on bridge for deck support. 16:45:43 Wood planking for deck laid onto edge of bridge; final supports moved into place. 16:46:31 Wooden planking laid in place. 16:47:24 Bridge rolled forward. Crew on opposite bank waiting & guiding onto rollers. Instructor guiding from on bridge deck. Receiving rollers moved into place. Bridge rolled across.
