Marines move ahead toward bridge, More diving jets. 03:03:10 MS Marines down collapsed steel truss bridge over river. MS along grassy field. 03:03:54 UH34D in flight; jet on bomb run, explosion. 03:04:22 Marines wade ankle deep in mud of rice paddies; squad of UH-34D helicopters beyond (GOOD). 03:04:28 Marines crouch, one crawls toward dugout under brush. Jets overhead strafing or bombing. Napalm explosions. Marine sights rifle. Jets over & bombing runs, much black smoke. 03:07:25 01B overhead. 03:07:56 Platoon of marines into tall grass & searching. Marines past trap; out of grass & move across ride paddies w/ 01B low overhead. Marines wading, searching knee-deep in water. 03:09:37 CU of trap, marine w/ .45 pistol & another w/ M-14 examine.
