Average age of the students is 8 & they are in first year of primary school. The majority of the children are from the poorer families of Catholic faith remaining in the Nagasaki area. It was further revealed that the appearance of the children was largely an after effect of the same bomb. Most of the children's homes were about a half hour from the school.
