WWII - 1944, Documentary re weapons R2 of 2 LS of valley; MCU Allied officers w/ binoculars; on radio-telephone on mountainside preparing to shell village. 01:08:15 Camouflage over llarge artillery, firing on heavily destroyed town. 01:08:28 240mm howitzer pulled by two armored tractors, is assembled by large crane; then shells an Italian town in mountains w/ 300lb shells. Guns firing. Tanks move down into valley. Good montage artillery firing. Mortars. Battle scenes as troops move forward. 01:11:34 Italian civilians watching outside town. Infantry follow tanks into the valley. 01:12:00 Troops enter the town; mine detectors used & fighting in the streets / snipers. 01:12:47 Civilians leave caves to welcome US troops & receive food.
