Talk about their axes; bad luck of working by the river. Loses axe in river; bubbles boil up & the god Mercury rises out of water; pulls pure gold axe out, then a pure silver one. Mercury brings up his old one & gives him the other two axes because he spoke the truth. 05:35:49 Looks at all three. Then at home showing to his wife. They decide they must tell the truth even if their friends won’t believe them. The other couple argue while going to find gold & silver axes. He throws his axe in the water & Mercury comes up.
