Workers moving M3 General Lee tank master gear into fire for heat treating & oil quenched. Oil bath & hot parts put in. 00:21:22 Overhead shot of boxes of parts waiting for assembly. 00:22:05 Men assembling steel panels onto hull; overhead cranes moved hydraulic riveters. CU riveting. 00:22:38 Gantry crane moving armored shield & turret installed. Crane hoisting completed hull; final drive lowered into place followed by engine fitted into rear. 00:24:32 37mm turret into place. 00:24:51 Track uncoiled open & tank moved into place onto treads. 00:25:48 Tank driven off assembly line & pulling next into place. 00:26:10 75mm cannon installed; 37mm gun added into turret. Final inspection. Completely assembled tanks moved thru air overhead, lowered onto railroad car, covered w/ tarpaulins & railroad moving at night. 00:28:35 Lines of tanks tested at night. 00:29:44 Sign: US Military Reservation - Danger, Keep Out.
