Carriage towards camera (no snow, pulls up to curb & woman helped out, enters. 20:40:06 Title: Interior of Department Store Set w/ counters, customers & clerks. Much activity & bumping into each other. Woman at counter looks, takes something. Someone sees her & walks her off. 20:41:55 Title: Superintendent’s Office. Man & secretary at desks in cubicles in front of painted backdrop. Woman & man brings woman in & sits her down; then takes things out of woman’s ?? as she bows head. She is let go. 20:42:44 Title: Leaving Store. Sidewalk w/ pedestrian past camera, woman out of store w/ eyes covered & man accompanying gets in carriage w/ her. 20:43:09 Title: Home Of Thief. Child into house, mother w/ head on table hugged by girl; mother shows empty cup & puts on shawl & leaves. 20:43:50 Title: Stealing Bread. Two well dressed women pass along sidewalk, grocery delivery boy called back into store leaving basket on pavement. Poor woman snatches bread, caught by shopkeeper who calls police. She is walked off by policeman. 20:44:31 Title: Arriving At The Police Station. Piles of snow alongside street w/ horses pulling sleigh; pedestrians crossing street. Woman shoplifter walked out of sleigh & into police station w/ policeman. 20:44:59 Title: Arriving At Police Station In Patrol Wagon. Team of horses pulling police cart up snowy street.
