Perkins announces 4th winner, Bud Middleton. They talk on the stage. He’s going to make short-wave radio. Bud also is the week’s winner. 09:46:29 Broadway street scenes & all the theater & advertising signs. Street sign, 6th Ave & 53rd St. Sign: Short Wave Specialists radio shop. Goes past Fun Shop and they look in the window, Bud and grandmother goes in. Spots a ring, costume jewelry, & they buy it for $2. Grandma buys six. 09:47:55 Black maid / servant talking to grandma in kitchen; Babs comes in. Grandmother gives her ring “you left on my dresser”. “They’re absolutely the same.” Mother also brings in a ring that she’s found. Three alike & Bab’s leaves. “Do you know what this is all about mother?” Sandwiches to table. 09:49:39 Bab’s thinking; father comes downstairs. Gives her another ring. Bud gives her two more; she stomps them into floor. 09:50:48 Nick rings bell & is introduced by Elvira. All give him a cold shoulder, he brings in a found ring & she gives him the handful of rings. Bud jumps as though to hold down his father & Nick runs out. 09:52:51 Watching lights at World’s Fair, Jim leaves w/ Babs & they watch the fireworks together.
