Pt. 1 of 2 ‘Discussion Problems in Group Living’ Series Young America Films / McGraw-Hill Book Company Lawrence High School student Jimmy drives pretty blonde cousin Sally from Westport High to local diner in 1946 Ford. Sally (SOF): “So this is the famous hangout...’ “Do you dare come in? I’ll tell them you’re from Mars.” Restaurant is full of Lawrence students. Juke boxes on booths. Friend in football jacket spies Sally & comes over “Your cousin? Oh this is too good to be true” - Jim gets rid of him. Students from school service club come in wearing armbands - Jim tells Sally they’ve given up their Saturday to raise money for the United Fund. Sally impressed by attitude of Lawrence students - “Maybe you’ll think I’m kind of corny but you’ve really got the right kind of school spirit...” - says Lawrence is impossible to beat in anything.
