Into cars and away. 10:34:05 Air Force men & Spaniards walking down road to helicopter pad in front of others posing, shaking hands & filmed. Spanish woman seems important. Arrival on Spanish helicopter, helped out. Spanish Guardia Civil salute. Walk to tents, in & out. Communications; US Navy; Naval Ships; International Incident; Searching; Near Miss; Aftermath; 1960s; Radiation Hazard; NOTE: On 17Jan66 a SAC B-52 carrying four B28 thermonuclear (hydrogen) bombs collided in mid-air w/ KC-135 tanker while refueling. 3 bombs were found on shore, high explosives in two had detonated on impact scattering plutonium dust over several hundred acres. After 80 days the fourth bomb was found.
