11:07:30 Oliver Hardy as man in station cafe having huge pile of pancakes for breakfast. Eating like a glutton, whole piles of hotcakes at once. Follows w/ whole string of sausages.
11:09:30 CU Alarm clock at 9 0’clock. Billy West as tramp, sleeping under train. Tramp w/ spotted handkerchief sets out in search of breakfast, climbs over fence & attacked by dog. West as station master selling ticket to man to Springfield. West as tramp bumps into station master’s daughter & falls in love. Gag as West pulls girl’s head thru ticket hatch w/ crook of cane.
11:16:05 Back in station restaurant, fat man orders whole cake, realizes West is making up to his girlfriend & throws cake which hits girl’s father. Slapstick. Chase around ticket office. Father & daughter leave West looking after office. Fat man, thwarted boyfriend, sticks head through hatch, West paints his face. West takes over running cafe.
11:21:27 Steam passenger train arrives in station. Crowd of passengers sit in station cafe. West cooking badly. People laughing. Chaos. End R1.
