Bodies carried up beach, survivors helped / carried off rescue boat. 14:34:49 View of three-stack liner bow; dock building w/ people, ambulance & other cars entering. 14:35:03 Police carry stretchers off ship. CU small boy. 14:35:16 Single-stack freighter w/ tug. CU Captain. Police move stretcher off, policeman & others help injured down gangway. I followed the French girl over & I don’t know where she got the courage to jump over; well anyway I followed her seeing that she could do it. I guess I’m lucky to be alive, that’s all.
