16:21:55 Fleeing civilian refugees walking in sun; clog roads at Montmirail - on foot & w/ horses & wagons. 16:22:49 Group of women w/ their cows grazing on roadside. RV Refugees away down country road.
16:23:12 US troops at Montmirail railway station w/ civilian women & children watching. Soldier w/ three young children.
16:23:42 Army medic & others help old woman & old man onto raiilroad flatcar; Medics or Red Cross workers carried stretchers into large building. Soldiers moving hand carts; talking; loading wounded into trucks. Ambulances & many troops outside train station. New troops marching past. Crowd around wounded.
16:25:30 The 7th Machine Gun Bn. passes thru town. 30th Inf. troops march thru Chateau-Thierry & toward the front.
16:26:35 Troops march down country road towards camera, passed by open sedan. Some on bicycles. Military trucks in convoy passing the marching troops. GOOD.
16:29:02 Truck convoy slowly past camera on rough & dusty road. LS trucks from other direction passing.
16:30:07 Troops march thru town. Troops march over hilltop past monument & down road past oncoming truck.
