Boarding party rows across to sub, prisoners w/ hands up taken; first officer goes inside sub, man seen calling down. Sub starts to sink, sailors swim for it; German crewman punched into water. First officer dives as sub explodes. 10:24:23 Explosion of sub. Boarding party returns w/ five prisoners. Celebrations as good news transmitted. CU writing message.
