Smoke clears & Germans man artillery, seen from slit trench; tank approaching trench stopped with large grenade. CU of Germans looking. Pistol pointed out of tank; German soldier fuses mine and throws it against tank where it explodes. 18:37:39 Hatch of tank opens and man throws out a small explosive. German w/ grenade crawls from crater to crater towards tank, places grenade on tank & it explodes as he dives into trench. Continued fighting with another advancing tank. Germans throw phosphorus grenades on tank, two men out & machine gunned down. Another tank approaches. 18:40:36 Grenade thrown and hangs on gun barrel as tank approaches. Catches fire & tank stops; Germans set up machine gun, run thru trench & get another mine and fuse. Tank again approaches. German runs out toward tank from crater to crater as tank repositions & fires gun. Man places charge on tank but gets hit w/ shrapnel as tank explodes. Another throws mine under tank and stops it ahead of the trench. Placing another charge and blows up yet another tank, more coming. CU. Fires gun & approaches trench as another mine is placed on tank and fused. Explodes & burns. Continued...
