Flag is raised & German troops parade thru Brandenburg Gate; Unter Den Linden seen thru bombed buildings w/ civilians following, arm in arm w/ troops. 22:50:03 Flags are placed on kiosk & wrecked buildings. Civilians buy newspapers. 22:50:33 German officers, diplomats & German citizens sign Hitler's birthday book. 22:50:55 A flag is placed amid ruins of a town to celebrate the birthday. 22:51:12 Motorcade on autobahn arrives, Hitler shakes hands w/ Goering then walks over to Keitel & others including injured soldier.
