Tanks past it thru smoke, several shots. 11:12:07 Tanks & men beside jeep in field sitting w/ heavy smoke burning in distance. Town & church tower visible. Firing machine gun & moving out. Tanks on road slowly moving up past camera. Stopped & rifleman firing from on tank. Machine gun on tank fired. Town w/ heavy smoke coming from behind house. House w/ roof on fire burning as tanks pass. 11:14:35 CU sign: Deutscher Touring Club Eschenbach 8 km. Tank sitting on road w/ 3 GIs on top. Other tanks stopped on road. Heavy smoke on horizon. Village w/ houses burning & tanks watching nearby. 11:16:24 LIB 5810 German Prisoners, Essen, Germany 19Apr45 Army truck past camera, unloading civilian male prisoners and walked to holding area. Boarding truck from area - mostly old men. Drive past very fully loaded, some German military. MPs watch & guard. Bonfire of books, papers & clothing. More men being loaded into trucks & driven away. 11:20:20 German young women watching, walk away. Convoy of six or seven trucks. GIs cleaning up area & throwing things on bonfire. 11:21:40 Convoy of prisoners leaving town past camera on corner. WW2 End of War;
