Churchill at mic 'I'm sure you would not wish me to not to state the facts as I see them; it is my duty to place before you certain facts about the present position in Europe. From Stetine in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic an Iron Curtain has descended across the continent. Behind that line lie all the capitols of the ancient states of Central & Eastern Europe: Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Bucharest & Sophia. And all these famous cities & the population around them lie what I must call the Soviet sphere. And all our subject in one form or another, not only does Soviet influence but to a very high & some cases increasing measure of control from Moscow. (end)
