Salmon trawling - sunset over sea. Indian fisherman wait to spot salmon then row quickly in large circle laying net trap - method only allowed for Indians - net dragged ashore w/ salmon flapping about film running at fast speed. 19:14:55 Modern fishing boat w/ purse seine net released from revolving platform on stern - lays circular net to trap fish - net winched in by several fishermen & big catch loaded into hold w/ large basket - ship heads home at sunset. 19:18:00 Salmon trap built on coastal migration route - wooden structure w/ net traps - watchmen hauling up nets, salmon thrash about as they are exposed to fresh air. Tender collects catch to take to canneries - fishermen in oilskins - huge quantities of fish scooped into containers & separated into species. Boats head home. The End.
