Passes & waves to car. Esther Miller (Ella Hall) on horseback w/ mother Mrs. Miller (Jane Morgan). Small switching station, CU telegraph key, Johnny Buckley, engineer’s son. 13:05:00 Johnny reads note: CU “Train 99 on time”. 13:05:12 MCU racing steam locomotive & convertible. CU whistle blowing. Women cross tracks on rearing horses. MCU of warning signal. Fallen horse & woman on tracks. and oncoming train. Buckley runs out to help get her off track. Horse & woman off track just in time. Engine rolling over camera to stop 13:06:49 Engineer in cab; runs back, “Everybody all right?”. Mrs. Miller thanks him. Mr. Miller drives up, thanks everybody. Mother w/ daughter Esther who can’t get Bill Buckley out of her mind. Lawyer looks jealous. Mr. Miller tells lawyer he’s giving Buckley’s a house; Lawyer looks devious & bothered. MCUS. 13:14:48 Title: A stranger - David Kirby. Kirby watches as Millers board & leave on train. Title: “Oh, Wilton you won’t forget that Buckley matter -- will you?” Wilton followed out of station by Kirby. CU talking. 13:15:45 Title: “What do you want? I got you a job back there, didin’t I?” Kirby blackmails the lawyer over the lawyer’s son. Miller chauffeur, a Black, waits to drive the lawyer. 13:16:28 Wilton arrives at Buckley’s house, watched by Henry. Wilton enters & gives deed of house to Mrs. Buckley.
