The Hurricane Express - Chapter One: The Wrecker Pt. 2 of 3 Gloria driving fast in convertible. Valley, man out of grass & breaks into railroad shed. Takes box off telegraph machine that is cllicking. Sees Hurrican Express poster: Swift - Sure - Safe It Gets You There. Gloria pulls up in convertible on bumpy road, goes inside & recognizes her Dad who puts away pistol. “You have to go back...you were safe in prison.” Transpires she is working as secretary for railroad to find paper evidence that sent her father to prison. 20:14:54 Glass door panel sign: L&R Railroad, Howard Edwards General Manager. Interior w/ inquiry into crash underway. Stationmaster causes engineer to be fired. John Wayne w/ Gloria, blonde secretary, “I believe Jordan told the truth!” He leaves to find the “man who murdered my father.” Gloria listens at door: “We can’t admit that there’s been any mysterious happenings on the road; we’ve lost too much business already!” Newspaper clipping of Gloria’s father escaping from prison. Gloria returns to desk to answer phone. Edwards talks about gold shipment going on Hurricane Express tonight. Suddenly gets a call w/ telegraphy that Hurrican Express will not get thru.
