Ceremony laying the stone for the monument to the 300th anniversary of the Romanov reign held on the banks of the Volga. Tsar lays stone. Reviewing troops. Large ceremonial celebration & procession. NOTE: Festivities started in St. Petersburg in February & then spread throughout Russia.

08:20:25 Celebrations of the 300th anniversary were completed by a visit to Novospassky Monastery in Krutitsi where the burial vault of the Romanovs is under the Transfiguration Cathedral. Party leave burial vault & the Tsar is presented w/ scale model of the Cathedral by the bell ringer Dolinsky.
