Youngsters from geology club do research in the snow w/ special machinery, CU children make measurements, line of young geologists march through snow. Group’s adventures pictured & written about in school museum exhibit. Children look at displays. Shot of awards, ext school. 17:08:23 “Tomas & Margus” Tallinn seen from water, gulls fly over water; city’s park, squirrel on the tree branch, kids snowball fighting over fence, 2 girls looking for something under the trees. CU identical twins Margus & Tomas popping out from behind tree, twins run after 2 girls up staircase, kids walk hand in hand past lake, CU squirrel in the tree. Twin brothers dressed up look at portrait of Beethoven, perform his composition “Marmot” w/ which they won first prize in International Violin competition in Czechoslovakia, Tomass plays violin & Margus piano, shots of people on narrow city streets, walking thru park, city, mixed shots of young artists & city scenes. 17:10:48 Wintery woodland, forester puts hands to his mouth, calls someone. Trees covered in deep snow, animal prints, CU deer Mishka, that was found & looked after by forester since he was few weeks old, Mishka walks up to cars on road, drivers give him food. Kids surround the deer, feed him, stroke his back. CU deer walks thru snow to forester who raised him, man strokes reindeer. Mishka follows forester on his way home. 17:12:55 “Gift for the Kids” Moscow House of the Miracles. Metal cock singing on top of clock tower, kids look up some w/ binoculars to the figurines coming out of the mechanical clock & inviting them to come in the doll house, children look up w/ open mouth, CU various dolls, animals, witches, all kinds of figurines. Kids look at various dolls, discuss them w/ each other, smile. LS kids in exhibition hall, look at various birds in cages hanging in the tree. CU children stand around the water pond, look at various fish inside it. 17:15:31 Applauding audience, mechanical doll theater on the stage. The End.
