08:00:16 Charlie Chaplin looking down from hillside towards town. Tillie throws brick for dog, hits Chaplin. She apologizes, stands on his foot. Takes him into the house. She chases him around. Father tries to be nice, drinks a shot w/ him. Hired hand comes in.
08:04:58 Tillie picks petals from daisy to see if he loves her (myths). Chaplin checks out father’s money. Chaplin & Tillie in garden together. Father comes out, threatens Chaplin. Slapstick violence. Kicking. Father chases them. They hide; go to house; she trips on porch & kicks Chaplin.
08:10:43 Charlie smokes outside waiting for Tillie; Tillie dresses & shows off her clothes to Chaplin.
08:11:54 In the city, gags w/ traffic. Mabel Normand sees Charlie & Tillie in the middle of the street dodging traffic & Normand is upset, then laughs. Charlie faints when he sees Normand; Tillie picks him up, Normand & Tillie begin to fight & a cop breaks it up.
08:13:59 Normand drops her fur, policeman doesn’t pick it up; she picks it up & leaves. Tillie & Charlie enter restaurant where people are dancing, a piano & violin are playing. Sit at table, Tillie chokes on drink.
08:15:28 Normand goes in & glares; Tillie glares back. Normand & Chaplin go to talk, Tillie follows, tries to pick a fight.
08:17:10 Title re money that Tillie has. Tillie dances with ?? Charlie watches, laughs. Tillie falls & many try to help her up. Chaplin offers to hold her purse while she dances. He & Mable leave w/ purse, dodge a cop on the corner.
08:19:27 Tillie is thrown out of restaurant. Policeman calls her over. She tries to dance on the sidewalk w/ him & also crossing the street where he takes her into the police station. She is quite drunk.
08:20:34 Tillie entertaining the Keystone Kops police; they take her to the jail matron who says she’s the niece of a millionaire. He is called on telephone to bail her out. She kisses bald cop on head.
08:23:12 Chaplin & Normand leave clothing store where she bought a tall egret feathered hat. Tillie released tries to walk w/ cop & dances in street. Her uncle drives off; she walks along street & sees sign waitress wanted. Goes in & applies. Almost spills tray.
08:26:40 Uncle is off hiking in mountains. Tillie serving customers & causing confusion. In waitress uniform, chef lectures her, she tickles under him chin. Chaplin & Normand into the restaurant, he has chair pulled out from under him. Tillie chewing gum. Incomplete
