Tanks firing in small village. 01:43:07 Construction of floating bridge across Inde River, jeep over. 28Nov firing across river. Tanks past. Rockets launched; reloading battery by 1st Army. 600 fired at once. Tanks advance, one hit; firing outside Grazny(?). MP as traffic control as units advance along muddy road. 3rd Armored Div. moves up thru woods. 1st Inf. toward Gurzenich (?) w/ ruined factory as observation post to shell town. Men thru woods. Men follow tanks across barren fields, wounded helped. Men enter town of Verth (sp?) 19Nov44 along buildings. German POWs marched out of town.
