Cadets do chores - bedding aired & flailed, boots polished; laundry done in buckets & hung. Hatch covers removed w/ winch & engine maintenance done. Rifles cleaned & deck & inspected; decks swabbed. Dogs given a bath. Kriegsmarine flag flying. Intercut w/ shots of sea & along side ship. 14:16:20 CU of steam whistle blowing. Equator / Crossing the Line ceremony: trident flag raised - officer/Captain dressed as King Neptune with his entourage, including man in drag w/ blonde wig - cadets w/ silly hats playing accordions - blacked-up crewmen in straw skirts, one injects something into mouth of cadet w/ syringe device - cadets daubed in paint - man in drag awards oversized medals to officers - cadets covered in makeup jump into pool on deck. 14:18:39 Heavy seas. Another ship spotted & more prisoners taken on board. Views of crew on board captured ship. Bell removed. Ship fired on w/ explosions at water line; survivors on makeshift raft climb aboard cruiser, intercut w/ ship sinking. Wounded men treated. 14:20:51 Naval funeral - bodies covered in British naval flag buried at sea w/ military honors. Passengers & crew of British three-masted tall ship taken on board - ship fired at & sunk. 14:23:29 Cadets at graduation ceremony? - Captain presents certificates. Nazi Kriegsmarine flag flying.
